Today, the Russian President Vladimir Putin gave a speech at the plenary session of the Active Citizens’ Forum «Community». The head of state paid special attention to NGOs and projects of public associations.
«We will continue to create favorable conditions for the development of the non-profit sector. As you know, over the last five years, the NGOs presidential grants program scope has been significantly — sevenfold — increased,» stressed Vladimir Putin.
In the opinion of the President of Russia, socially oriented NGOs that are ready to act as a reliable partner of the state in the social sphere should number in the thousands.
«Several hundreds of NGOs have already been included in regional registers of social service providers, but, of course, it is obvious that this is only the beginning. We need thousands of such organizations across the country who are ready to take responsibility, act as a reliable partner of the state in the social sphere,» said the President.
