The 3rd Youth Summit of the BRICS countries concluded its work in Beijing. 50 young leaders from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa attended it. The Deputy Chairperson Alexander Bolotnov represented the National Youth Council of Russia at the Summit.

The main goal of the Summit was to discuss and develop the cooperation vectors in the BRICS space in the following areas: youth policy, innovations and youth entrepreneurship, youth participation in global governance.

The outcome of the Youth Summit was the adoption of the Action Plan. The document will be presented to the heads of BRICS countries within the framework of the BRICS Summit, which will be held in September this year in Xiamen, China. One of the provisions included in the Action Plan was the proposal to create a joint BRICS countries platform, the members of which will be the National Youth Councils, profile youth associations, national student associations, local youth organizations, in order to implement the adopted recommendations in the field of youth policy and youth cooperation within the framework of the BRICS.

Remember, that the proposal to create an association of youth organizations of the BRICS countries was first time announced at the First Summit in Kazan in 2015 and was already included in the final Action Plan.
