During the visit to New York, the Chairperson of the National Youth Council of Russia — Grigory Petushkov signed an agreement on cooperation between the National Youth Council of Russia and the Youth Council of the Caribbean at the UN headquarters.
According to the document, the parties agreed to develop multilateral and diversified cooperation, to promote the social integration of young people in Russia and the countries of the Caribbean region, to develop volunteer programs and exchange programs, to promote the dissemination of information on current issues of youth and the negotiation of conceptual approaches to their solution; contribute to the strengthening of intercultural dialogue. The agreement emphasizes the special role played by youth in shaping the agenda on the international arena, as well as the importance of strengthening international youth cooperation and a desire to develop new forms of cooperation between youth organizations of both regions.
Chairperson of the National Youth Council of Russia — Grigory Petushkov and Chairperson of the Youth Council of the Caribbean — Tiyani Christian both signed the document. Note that the Youth Council of the Caribbean was established in 2011 and today comprises 13 National Youth Councils of the Caribbean.
