The seminar has been held once every two years since 2013.
The seminar on youth policy and youth work in the Russian Federation is an integral part of the action plan for the implementation of the Framework programme cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Council of Europe in the field of youth policy. The seminar is organized by the National Youth Council of Russia together with the Youth Department of the Council of Europe in conjunction with Russian state authorities.
The purpose of the seminar is to create conditions for dialogue and mutual studying in the field of youth policy and youth work in the Russian Federation as well as in other member states of the European Cultural Convention, taking into account the diversity of experience, approaches, realities of modern society.
Target audience: representatives of the member countries of the European Cultural Convention, delegates of public authorities responsible for the implementation of youth policy; experts in youth work of regional authorities and local authorities; members of youth non-governmental organizations and government agencies working with young people at the international, national and regional levels; representatives of the academic and research institutions engaged in the study of youth.
During the working days of the seminar, the participants have the opportunity to learn about the attitudes and characteristics of the implementation of youth policy in the Russian Federation as well as in other member states of the European Cultural Convention, to consider the positive practices of youth work as a tool for realization of the national youth policy, to update the role of youth policy and youth work in the context of new realities of society and needs of today’s youth, to discuss the prospects of further cooperation.
