Educational Seminar for young parliamentarians and youth leaders of Russia

The seminar has been held since 2010 in the city of Strasbourg, France.

11 educational seminars in the Council of Europe were held over the course of 2010-2014.  295 people from 67 Russian regions, 8 from the member states of the Council of Europe and 10 from the countries of the CIS attended the seminar.

The seminar is included in the Action Plan for 2014-2015, which comprises a part of the Framework Programme Cooperation between the Council of Europe and the Russian Federation in the field of youth policy.

Target audience: representatives of youth parliaments, governments and public organizations of the Russian Federation and the CIS, Baltics, Caucasus, young delegates, representatives of the Chamber of young legislators of the Council of the Federation, representatives of Youth Parliament of the Russian State Duma, authorities, young entrepreneurs and journalists.

The seminar’s  programme includes the overview of structure and activity of the Council of Europe, the work of Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly. It also includes the observation of the meetings between the PACE and the Russian delegation, including the leadership of the PACE and Youth Council of Europe Department, as well as the European Youth Foundation, the Permanent Delegation of Russian Council of Europe, representatives of the European Court of human Rights, educational seminars, trainings and workshops.
