Today is the 2nd anniversary of the State Youth Policy Bases

Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree of the Russian Government № 2403-p that approves the Bases of State Youth Policy of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2025 on November 29, 2014. Today marks exactly two years since the signing of this landmark document.

 Interethnic Relations Council meeting resulted in the list of instructions that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed on July 22, one of which was the instruction for the Government «to approve the Bases of State Youth Policy of the Russian Federation with regard to the provisions of the Russian Federation state national policy for the period until 2025 in respect of the implementation of tasks of civil, patriotic and spiritual and moral education of children and youth.»

 Over 5,500 people — representatives of the professional community, representatives of youth organizations, attended the work on the document. More than 4500 proposals were received, discussion of the forthcoming text draft passed in all 10 federal universities and all edits and suggestions were processed in 100 universities of the country.

 Bases are aimed at creating favorable conditions for self-realization of the youth and its effective support mechanisms, civic education and patriotism, the development of youth initiatives and support of talented youth, the formation of values of a healthy lifestyle and the family, education of culture of international dialogue and respect for people of other nations.

 With the adoption of the document the state youth policy spread out in 15 directions, «Patriotism», «International cooperation», «healthy lifestyle», «Volunteering», «Innovation, scientific and technical creativity», «Public organizations», «Business», » Youth media «,» Social protection «,» Self-management «,» Career «,» Tolerance «,» Creativity «,» Social adaptation «,» Young family «,» Human Resources in SYP».

Within each of these industries the professional youth communities form. Their goal is to create equal opportunities for young people, regardless of region of residence, social status, political or religious preferences.
