Today in Sochi started the Meeting of the Europe Council Steering Committee on the preparation and implementation of the Action Plan for 2016-2017 due to the Framework for Cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Council of Europe in the field of youth policy for the period from 2014-2018.
During the meeting the debriefing, evaluation of the projects of the past year and making recommendations for the 2017-year activities processes are planned. In addition, in the agenda is the discussion of the status and plans for the Pan-European campaign to combat hate speech on the Internet «Movement against hatred in the Russian Federation» and of the set of questions for the World Festival of Youth and Students in 2017.
The Council of Europe was represented by: the Chairperson of the Advisory Council on Youth Affairs — Grdoshik Marco, Head of the Youth Department — Antje Rotmund, Head of training and educational programs of the Youth Department — Ruy Gomez, Head of the Department on training programs and educational programs of the Youth Department — Marina Filaretova. The Russian delegation included: Chairperson of the National Youth Council of Russia — Grigory Petushkov, Deputy Director of the Department of State policy in the sphere of education of children and youth of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation — Sargilana Bryzgalova, Head of the international activities of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs — Dmitry Ivanov, Deputy Chairman of the National Youth Council of Russia — Olga Popova.
We should note that in 2016 the following projects were planned and carried out:
1-5 May, European Youth Centre, Strasbourg — “50-50” training seminar for specialists from state authorities of the Russian Federation working with young people together with representatives of youth non-governmental organizations
22-26 September, Kaluga region — VIII International Youth Camp “Dialogue”
18-23 October, Penza — Long-term training course on access of young people to social rights and autonomy through youth work.
7-10 November, Volgograd– Seminar “Remembrance and learning from World War II”
14-18 November, Moscow — International training for the campaign «Movement No Hate» on the basis of the Council of Europe training manuals on education in human rights.
Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Council of Europe in the field of youth policy will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2017
