On November 8-10 the World Forum for Democracy-2017 took place in Strasbourg (at the Council of Europe). This annual event is a a unique platform for political decision-makers and activists to debate solutions to key challenges for democracies worldwide. The objective of the World Forum for Democracy-2017 was to review novel initiatives and approaches which would enhance democratic practices. National Youth Council of Russia was presented at this event by the Head of Intetnational Department Olga Nilova and the coordinator of International Department Alfiya Kazargylova. They participated in the work session «The antidotes for populism: connection people and policy».
The Forum was organised by the Council of Europe in partnership with Strasbourg City Council, the Grand Est Region and the French government.Forum was attended by academics, politicians, practitioners and young people from all over the world.
