The meeting with Governor Sergei Morozov, dedicated to the development of the system of youth policy in the region, passed in the Ulyanovsk region, on November 10. The Ministry of Youth Development uses the cross-sectoral approach, in every municipality there is already a specialist in working with youth and it is planned that such specialists will soon appear in each sector.
Natalia Pankova, one of the founders of the Russian expert community on youth policy «Gagarin club», took part in the meeting. She noted that in the Ulyanovsk region youth work has its’ suitable approach, due to realizing that young people are the future of the region. It is to be reminded that an open meeting of the Russian expert community on youth policy «Gagarin club» was held, within the framework of the program of the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students. At the meeting, Sergei Morozov spoke about the experience of working with youth in the Ulyanovsk region. During the meeting on November 10, Sergei stressed the importance of the idea of creating a Gagarin club again and supported the proposal to create its’ first representation in the Ulyanovsk region.
The Gagarin club is a new format of public-state cooperation, created to facilitate the search for answers to acute questions of youth policy and counteracting contemporary challenges and threats to Russia’s national security.
It is initiated by the National Youth Council of Russia in the year of the 25th anniversary of the state youth policy of modern Russia, leading its history to the date of the Presidential Decree No. 1075 issuance of September 16, 1992 «On Priority Measures in the Field of State Youth Policy». The same Decree supported the creation of the National Council itself.
