«Today our agenda meeting includes the strengthening of our cultural cooperation, including within the framework of events to mark the numerous joint dates and signal events in the history of our nations. Our work is based on the common spiritual and cultural roots and centuries-long feelings of friendship and empathy between our nations. We firmly believe that respect for our glorious shared history can help teach the young generations the importance of patriotism and moral values and also strengthen the foundation of Russian-Belarusian ties.
Broader youth exchanges are especially important in the current situation. Young Russians and Belarusians will soon assume responsibility for all aspects of life in our countries. It is heartening that some 300 delegates from Belarus will attend the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students, which will be held in Sochi in October 2017.»
