In this anniversary year, the National Youth Council of Russia receives many letters from friends and partners from all over the world. In particular, we were very pleased to receive congratulations on the 25th anniversary from the German Federal Youth Circle.
«Dear Grigory, dear friends of the National Council!
On behalf of the German Federal Youth Circle, we would like to express our best congratulations on the 25th anniversary of the founding of the National Council. Our two youth structures are connected by intensive cooperation since 1992. Representatives of our two youth organizations met for the first time in Moscow for initial negotiations. The delegation of the National Council visited the GFYC in Germany from 17 to 22 of June 1993.
All kinds of joint events in both countries, conducted since then, contributed to the development of intensive exchange between the youth organizations of both countries and to the strengthening of German-Russian cooperation in the youth environment.
Since 2005, both youth structures are also linked in the German-Russian youth association, where German-Russian youth forums are regularly held. The creation of the association was the landmark for our partnership and became an expression of the will of the German Federal Youth Circle and the National Youth Council of Russia to create a joint future in peace and friendship.
Especially those times, when the political relations between Russia and Germany are not simple, youth structures acquire special significance in both countries. With respect and mutual responsibility, they must play an active role in creating present and future relations between the two countries.
We appreciate the National Council as a reliable partner in cooperation in the Baltic Sea region, and as an integral actor in the European Youth Forum at the Council of Europe level.
We wish the National Council a brilliant anniversary celebration, and all its affiliated organizations successes and recognition in working with youth both in Russia and abroad, in the sphere of international cooperation!”, says Chairman Lizzie Meyer and her deputy Hathaw Tak
