Russian-German youth cooperation made a step to a new level

The XII meeting of the Russian-German Council on youth cooperation passed in the capital of Tatarstan and resulted in the signed document, which recognized the new level of Russian-German youth relations.At the meeting, the Council approved the program of Russian-German youth and school exchanges for 2017 and the concept of conduction of youth action «Train of Friendship» in 2017.
The parties have agreed on joint participation of coordination offices in the XVI German day on work with children and young people, supported a Russian-German conference of the organizers of sporting youth exchanges and holding of the Russian-German fair of the partnerships in vocational youth exchange, approved the concept of the event dedicated to the closure of the Russian-German Year of youth exchanges 2016-2017.
Chairperson of the National Youth Council of Russia and member of the Russian-German Council on youth cooperation — Grigory Petushkov attended the annual meeting. He spoke about the activities that National Council organized to implement the bilateral cooperation in 2016. In particular, on the results and prospects of the Russian-German Youth Forum and the Youth Parliament that passed this year in Germany and planned to be held in the Russian Federation in 2017.
Commenting on the results of the meeting, he said: «The protocol signed today says that the issue of youth cooperation and strategic development of bilateral relations is very important and relevant both for government agencies and for non-governmental organizations of our country.»
The next meeting will be held in Germany on November 2017 in Nuremberg.

It should be noted, that the Russian-German Council on youth cooperation was established in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany in December 2004. As a result of the meetings, which passes annually, experts determine the priorities and the main directions of Russian-German youth cooperation.
