On July 6 in Moscow passed a working meeting of the National Preparatory Committees of Russia and Venezuela of the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students.
The Chairperson of the Russian NPC and the Chairperson of the National Youth Council of Russia Grigory Petushkov, the Chairman of the NPC of Venezuela, the Secretary-General of the youth wing of the Communist Party of Venezuela «Communist youth of Venezuela» Héctor Rodriguez, the representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Venezuela Rosas Calderon Hanoi Tamara, representatives of the NPC of Russia, the National Council and the Executive Directorate of the WFYS in Russia attended the meeting.
The National Preparatory Committee of Venezuela was approved by one of the members of the International Organizing Committee of the 19th WFYS at the 3rd International Preparatory Meeting in Colombo, Sri Lanka. A key place during the meeting was devoted to discussing the outcomes of the 2nd IOC meeting, which took place on June 23 in Moscow.
On the agenda were topics such as visa support for participants, transportation and medical support, a regional program, a festive procession on October 14, etc. During the meeting, issues of participation of the Venezuelan delegation in the Festival were worked out in detail. In addition, the representatives of the NPC of Venezuela shared their experience with colleagues from Russia in the organization of the Festival, when Caracas hosted the 16th WFYS in 2005. A special emphasis was placed on the historical ties between the two countries and the need to consolidate the youth.
During the meeting, the Agreement on Cooperation between the National Youth Council of Russia and the Communist Youth of Venezuela was signed.
The IOC of the WFYS traditionally deals with the final stage of preparation for the Festival of Youth and Students. The main task of the committee is to ensure effective cooperation between the participating countries of the event and the host country. IOC consists of representatives of the National Preparatory Committees of the countries of the world, regional organizations.
