The 2nd International Youth Forum on Creativity and Heritage along the Silk Roads is held on May 21-27 in China. The Russian Federation at the event is represented by a delegate from the National Youth Council of Russia, an employee of the organization’s international department Bedlyaeva Lilia.
The organizers of the forum are UNESCO and the National Commission of People’s Republic of China for UNESCO. Participants are 80 people: youth representatives aged from 18 to 35 from countries of Africa, the Arab States, Europe, Asia and the Pacific, who passed the competitive selection. As part of the work at the sites, delegates discuss such themes as promotion of creativity, heritage and literature to develop and initiate more active participation of young people in the cultural industries, as well as in protecting and strengthening of the mankind common heritage. A program for participants with experience in the field of Media Arts, aimed at improving technical skills and knowledge in this field, is also separately held.
It should be noted that the decision to organize the forum was made after the successful experience of holding the 1st International Youth Forum on Creativity and Heritage along the Silk
Roads in 2017.
