The National Youth Council of Russia has issued a statement on the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities.
«Among our closest partners are youth associations of Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is impossible to watch our friends — young people of brotherly countries for Russia — take up arms and shoot each other instead of peaceful dialogue without pain and despair,» the statement reads.
«Together with a wide international network of allies and partners, we are ready to become mediators in a difficult conversation, foster collaboration through youth dialgue and make all the necessary efforts to create conditions for a peaceful settlement of the conflict, for an immediate cessation of hostilities!”.
