Features of youth policy were discussed in Astana

An International scientific-practical conference on topical issues of youth «Features of formation and realization of youth policy at the present stage” was held in the framework of the Forum of interregional cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia with participation of Countries Heads in Astana.

During the first day of the meeting the Chairperson of the National Youth Council and Director of the Institute for Youth Policy and International Relations of MIREA G. Petushkov showed all participants the presentation of the World Festival of Youth and Students, that will take place in Sochi in 2017: «On the eve of the festival on October 11, 2017, Moscow will host the Council of CIS Heads of State. The National Preparatory Committee of the Festival plans to apply them the request, asking to take part in the Opening Ceremony!».

During the Conference the memorandum on cooperation between the Research Center «Youth» (the Republic of Kazakhstan) and the Institute for Youth Policy and International Affairs of the federal state educational institution, «Moscow Technological University» (the Russian Federation) was signed. According to the document, the parties agreed to promote the establishment of scientific cooperation through joint research projects; to publish the results of joint research projects; to exchange materials, research reports, articles, research results relating to the areas of cooperation; to ensure the participation of representatives of the Parties in scientific and methodical seminars, scientific and practical conferences, forums and other events organized by any of the Parties.

The main objectives of the conference «Features of formation and realization of youth policy at the present stage» are to analyze the problems and achievements in the youth field,  to exchange experience,  to update the priority areas for further development of youth policy, to search for effective ways to achieve the objectives, to contribute to the  interaction between scientists, experts and specialists in this area.

Conference program is aimed to discuss the challenges and achievements in the field of youth, to exchange experience, to update the priority areas for further development of youth policy.

The Conference gathered 150 participants among whom there were representatives of research organizations, educational institutions, directors and staff of the Office for Youth Policy, the Department of Internal Policy, managers and employees of regional youth resource centers, heads of leading regional youth resource centers, representatives of youth organizations.
