1985<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 graduated from the Philosophy Faculty of Moscow State University, specialty «sociology».<\/p>\n

1985 \u2013\u00a01991<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 PhD study. He taught political sociology at Moscow State University and was the Secretary of the Moscow State University Komsomol Committee for Ideology (1986-1988.).<\/p>\n

1988\u00a0\u2013\u00a01989<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 worked in the Central Committee of Komsomol.<\/p>\n

1989 \u2013 1991<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 participant in the creation of various youth movements and parties. In order to examine the European Left he visited the UK, France, Poland, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Denmark where he met with the leaders and members of student and labor uprisings of 1968 in Paris and Rome, as well as with the activists of the Polish trade union «Solidarity», raised funds in favor of the miners’ strike committees Kuzbass, giving speeches at the UK trade union organizations.<\/p>\n

1990<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 \u00a0 head of the Socialist Youth,<\/p>\n

1992<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 joined the Board of Youth Affairs under the President of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n

1993 \u2013 1995<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Public Associations and Religious Organizations. By federal law «On political parties» and «On Public Associations»; co-author of many other federal laws V. Lepekhin combined socio-political activities with journalism.<\/p>\n

1992 \u2013 1995<\/strong>\u00a0 \u2014 columnist of «Komsomolskaya Pravda» and the weekly «Capital», political analyst, and then editor in chief of «Novaya Gazeta», \u00a0chief editor of the journal «Representative Power».<\/p>\n

1993<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 was awarded with the title of «Man of the Year» in the category «journalism about politics» according to the Russian biographical Institute.<\/p>\n

1996 \u2013 2009<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 worked mainly in television journalism. He was the producer of the socio-political programs «View», Head of Analytical Department «ORT», the main producer of the information broadcast «TVC», the head of the Analytical Directorate «First Channel», the director of analytical services STC «Star», the main editor of the program «Club of the senators» to «Russia» TV channel, etc.<\/p>\n

Since 2010<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 has become the head of the Institute of Eurasian Economic Community (IEEC).<\/p>\n

Since 2012<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 member of research council of\u00a0the Russian\u00a0Academy of Science on Eurasian economic integration.<\/p>\n
